My junk.

Blue car is a HB Torana, same as the Vauxhall HB Viva with a couple of cosmetic changes made by GMH for the Australian market. Unsure of weight but the previous owner said it was around 2800lbs with a blown small block and him in it. Car has previously run 8.4's 160+mph over the quarter but I'm only looking for mid to high 9's. Nice car you got there as well Bruce, I wouldn't really call it junk though  . Cheers, Grant.

I purchased a 2010 Camaro with the intention of making into a decent street strip car. I have worked on it and finally got it into a condition where I felt comfortable taking it to the track. The engine is stock. The mods are below. The first run with traction control on and going though some slight spin and wheel hop it ran a 12.81 (see ET slip). After that run I took the traction control off and put it into Sport Mode. The tune up has Torque management at about 30% on the 1-2 shift and 50% for the rest of the shifts. With the traction control off and in Sport Mode it ran a 12.66 ET at 110.88. It spun a little in first and shook a bit on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. With a set of Drag radials it will go 12.50 at 112mph with no problems at all. I wasted four other runs with spin and shake all the way through first and second even when I tried to pedal it. Trying to hook up on Street tires is a real Bitch.

Darin,

Very cool! Pretty darn quick/fast for a basically stock car.

Glad to see you out having a little fun!

Here's mine 72 Nova 465" SBC with SB2.2 heads, PG, 9", aerospace brakes, since then I've added another fogger, changed cams and slugs. Haven't had a chance to run the new combo still undecided on a few things. Thanks, Marty http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhKqSQhoy1w

This is my Chevelle. It's a 468 with 049 heads, vic. Jr. 454 O intake I did. TH 400 Trans with a 12 bolt and 4.10 gear. Big Shot plate with Induction Solutions hardware with a small shot.

ET is 10.66 @ 125 NA 9.56 @ 138.99 on the bottle.

Best 1/8th is a 5.93 @ 113, 1.28 60' should go a low 9.4 with a similar 1/8th.

I also work part time in a local cylinder head shop doing some porting. Mostly basic nothing crazy stuff. I had enjoyed looking here for info before and will be looking and posting from time to time looking for random info and help to step up my work.

Thanks for the forum Chad.
