Still tuning.

Nice... Can you share the rest of your 3400lb car information? Gear, trans, heads, cam, compression ratio...

Some other info : heads are afr 210 eliminators ootb, comps at 11.7:1, cams a comp solid street roller 260/266 @ 50 589/598 lift with 1.5 rocker. But i've put a 1.6 rocker to give it a little more lift. Power glide with a UCC 8" 5000 converter, 4.3 gears and a Pro Syst 950 carb.

Ran the car tonight. Put a 50 series tyer on instead of a 60 series. Ran 10.58@127.xx on pump fuel. Put in VP MS 109 , 4 jets all round and another 2* timing ended up going 10.46@127.9 with a 1.49 60 foot .

Congrats!! How does that plenum mod effect the throttle response with that pump gas?

Chad , a quick question.
I'm making the switch to e85. And wondering if the epoxy used in the manifold will be OK ?

Thanks Pep.

Made the swap to e85. Bought a 950 carb from Eric at Horsepower Innovations .
Excellent carb and service !
Put the car on the chassis dyno and picked up 15 kw at the wheels ! Not bad for a fuel change.
Was gonna race it but dropped a lifter and took out the cam as well .

So round three of this engine begins . Swapped head gasket to bring comp up to 12.85:1 , new Morel ultra
pro lifters ,pac 1225 valve springs to go with the new Bullet speced cam . 267 275 @ 50 , 675 630 lift 109 lsa 106 icl.
Waiting on cam to arrive and then back on the dyno .

Got a four point cage on ebay and a autometer wideband afr gauge , to help with tuning e85.

What you think ?

Oh thats sucks about the lifter bud.
But atleast you get to upgrade, thats always a good thing.
So0000 we thinkin high 9s with the new combo. That would be gold hey.
Hope my car responds to changes like yours did.
Good luck with the new combo :D

Thats a heck of a power gain at the 10 second range. Nice work! Ported manifold really shows potential in a combo!
