lapping valves to check seating

do you lap the final valve job, or, for a double check of seating is doing so acceptable?

I just do it so the customer can see the lap line. Sometimes just on one cylinder.

Chad do you vacuum test the seat work ?

I lap everything when I put a head together.... number the valves to their holes and lap them in with 500 grit.
