Thanks bud thats the plan. Ordrred a 6.8-7.8 adjustable pushrod last night. I was simply stating what is a suggested length and what he actually put in my motor veing over. 500 too long is just crazy

ok so got in there to measure my pushrod length. looks like i need a rod 7.350" long. this photo is taken with the scorpion 1.6 roller rockers with 1/4 turn preload from zero lash

pattern looks pretty darn good to me at 7.350"

heres the same but on a diff cylinder

7.300"

7.250"

wear on valve tip from pushrods that machinist installed ( i measured at 7.8") key not the rocker arm could not move in full due to it binding on the poly lock hence the broken studs

now one concern i do have is that i was cleaning off all my rockers and noticed the roller tips had a bit of a tight spot in them like a rough feeling in the bearings in 1 spot when rolling them in my fingers. is this anything to be concerned about?

just a little update

FIRST OFF: Chad thank you so much for those studs. It means so much to me that you did that. It wasnt even your fault they broke and coming through like that just shows how much you care and says alot about you and your company. Top notch customer service. One for reason to support the small guy

yesterday:
Okay so switched to a 1.6 ratio comp ultra pro mag rocker which changed pushrod length to 7.300". cleaned everything up, installed new 7.300" .080" wall thickness chromemoly hardened 1 piece pushrods along with my comp ultra pro mag rockers. Valves adjusted, top end getting buttoned back up. Need to re prime oil system and fire it back up. hope to do so very soon.

today:
WooHoo she lives again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

after work today i primed the oil system once again and stabbed the distributor in. Got it right on the first try lol. fired it off and man does it sound good. no broken parts this time with the right pushrod length.

for some reason i lost quality on the upload

now all i have to do is finish hooking up the electric fans and figure out this msd digital ecurve distributor. its still set on a locked out timing curve. so i have to set total timing first the choose my curve. then tune the carb. then clean up some wiring and put the interior back in. finally getting there.
