Port Floor Shape

How about a little discussion about an intake ports floor shape. Chad, I see you use a wing in some ports and a decent amount of floor bias to one side in others. Is this to try and direct the air around to the sides of the valve and away from the SSR?

I would assume with air being a "liquid" that it will take the path of least resistance and that with a smaller area in one part of the port will the air then change direction easier and go to the parts of the port that have more area?

From my experience...the vane helps keep the air stuck to the floor in some ports. I've used it in sb ford heads with success. Can't wait to hear what Chad has to say about it...
